Raspberry Plants

 

At Dunvegan Gardens we grow and/or stock several varieties of raspberry plants. 

 

Not all varieties grown at our greenhouses are listed here.  Some varieties listed here may not be available.

 

Variety Type Height Spread Description Zone
Boyne Spring Crop 6' 3' The hardiest variety.  Produces medium sized, deep red, tender, juicy fruits.  Especially good for processing and freezing.  Ripens in early-mid season. 2
Double Delight   5' 3' Large fruit with a delicious, sweet tangy taste.  A Morden Research Stn. Introduction. 2
Heritage Ever-bearing (Primocane)     Produces fruit on first year's growth - very hardy with medium large, firm, red berries with a mild flavour.  Bears in July and again in September.  Superior quality, good for freezing, canning, preserves and fresh.  Sturdy canes, seldom require support. 2
Red Mammoth   6' 2' Abundance of flavour in large, bright red conical fruits. 2
Souris   6' 3' An improved selection of 'Boyne'. 2
           
Aubin Black   5' 4' Black fruit. 3
Wyoming    4' 3' Non-suckering raspberry. Black fruit. 3
           
Fall Gold Ever-bearing 4' 18" Bright gold fruit, much sweeter than red varieties.  Late season, good flavour, large size fruit.  Excellent for processing & fresh eating.   3
